I presume you are talking about workflow template (vs instance of wf). Make sure the workflow template (dm_process object) is installed. When you edit a workflow template, it automatically gets uninstalled. Once its uninstalled, you need to save, validate, and then install it before you can launch it again (via Kofax).

• This is bad design. Object IDs will change if you create new version of workflow template, so your stored procs may fail if you create new versions of workflow template.
