Long DCR file name in windows issue

Hi,

I am having issue with long DCR file names. Total path and file name length must not exceed 260 characters in perl on windows. If i use the complete full file path with file name, then i am getting file not found / open failed error.

Is there any way to solve this issue without reducing the filename length?
Any idea. Kindly advice.

It's not "perl on Windows". It's just Windows, look here, paragraph "Maximum Path Length"
Few ways to "solve this issue" have names like UNIX, Linux and such...
