Incorporating SSI in the tpl?

Hi,
I need to include a html dynamically inside a TPL. I was previously using
which is static,

Now I changed to

I have also installed SSI dll on IIS. But when I view the preview, I see my page but the html I have mentioned is not included in it. I dont get any error messages also. Can anyone help me out ..

The issue is either with your webserver or the TS config.

Does your webserver config manage SSis correctly ? Have you tested it ?

Have you read the manual and done the steps for SSIs ?

Hi Rajat, thanks for helping us around looks like my issue and the issue in this post is the same ...

In my case we are using iPlanet and checked everything that shd be done to enable SSI includes at the server end.

Looks like the main issue is ...

we are able to get the page displayed correctly but not the include file in it ... its because the code is getting displayed as ..

[html]

[/html]

in the resultant page which it is interpreting as a comment, same must be the case with Sariba too...

still facing this issue gone through the forums but couldn't find any helpful post.

Is there any other way we can figure it out.

First does the SSI work outside of TS or not ?

make a new site, say on port 84 with the same config as the current web server and see if the SSI works.

If it does, then it is a TS issue, if not your web server is mis-configured.

Hi friends,
Thank you so much for the replies. That is resolved. I had to change a setting in Web Service Extensions. I had to change the status of "Server Side Includes" from prohibited to allowed. And also I had to generate the file with extension "shtml" After this it works.
