Corrupt characters in DCR form for DBCS

When I set metadata for a nonxml content (image) in DBCS language, the following scenario occurs.
1) When I save the metadata for the first time, data gets stored in database (DB2) and works well on deployed site.
2) When I edit the metadata for the same image content I saved in step 1, the ALT text field for image contents get corrupted on site. (in TeamSite DCR field, the data is stored correctly)
Can someone who work on DBCS or experienced a similar scenario, give some solution to the problem.
