Add javascript to create/edit wizard jsp page?

Hi,

In the document create/edit wizard jsp page, I would like to add some client side javascript to implement cross-field validation and also populate the field value automatically based on the input of some other field e.g. using AJAX.

But the question is, those JSP pages in WSMP are are using tag lib so I'm looking for some advise or even sample on how to achieve the above using client side javascript and AJAX.
