Having an issue where our main desktops are connecting to WorkSite Server no issues, however all laptops will appear offline. The laptops establish a connection to the server when registering with them, but when starting outlook they appear offline.. Things it is not are:-
1. Any type of firewall
2. Outlook Offline
Any suggestions ?

I would suggest looking at the configuration for Outlook - are you using Caching Mode for your laptops? If so, I have seen a bug where FileSite set to "detect Outlook's mode" sometimes does not correctly detect the mode when Outlook is in Caching Mode.
The other item I would recommend checking is the binding order especially if your laptops have an extra network adapater (even virtual). We are struggling with one issue where remote users with a Juniper Network adapater present and active (taking precedence over the HW adapater) then causes our clustering to fail for those users. We can see the correct packets going back and forth, but it appears that Worksite fails to determine which network adapter to check for status on properly in some instances.

Thanks for the response.. turns out that it the reason it was doing this was because there was no gateway entry in the tcp/ip settings for the network card.. thus would load into portable..
So have ended up putting dummy gateway entries in and it works..
Wierd one i must say !
