Folder level Permissions for Content Server

is there any way to learn permissions for a "Folder" for a particular user using CORE CS REST API

Reading and updating permissions of any user hasn't been planned yet and won't be available in the upcoming CS 2014.06. We intend to add it in the future, though. You can see permissions of the current (authenticated) user in the child node info.
