Configuring AppWorks Gateway to connect to Content Server

Running "Test Content Server URL" on Setting page fails for "http://localhost/OTCS/CS.exe" with and without "CS.exe".
Installed
AppWorks Gateway and Component
OTCS 10.5 using IIS Web Server.
all on same Windows 7 computer.

Any suggestions/thoughts on what may be need to get the connection to work?

Is there any change when you use:

<cs hostname>:<cs port no>/OTCS/livelink.exe

Connection fails for "livelink.exe" as well. Is it possible that a module needs to be installed in CS to support AppWorks?

Did get a Response from CS which was '{"isCsOk":false,"csErrMsg":"Got ill-formed response from http://localhost/otcs/livelink.exe","isDbOk":false}'

Edit 2014-06-11: Research continues
With a little wiresharking found out the HTTP request, to Test Content Server Connection, sent by the Gateway to CS is func=otag.ping. Digging more reveals otag.oll file exists in CS "otsync" module, which I suspect is installed with Tempo (to be confirmed). Hummm ... will Tempo need to be installed.

CS needed the following modules: Content Service (otsync) + Pulse(socialfeed + socialobject)
Details:
1. OpenText Content Server "Content Service" module, a.k.a. otsync_10_5_0 (file: 10.5.0_content_service64_win.exe) which is under Tempo Box section (downloads) in Knowledge Center
2. OpentText Content Server "Pulse" module (file: 10.5.0_content_service64_win.exe) which deploys social feed" and "socialobject" module folders.

I wonder ... is this documented somewhere.

Glad you posted where to find these two modules. This needs to really be added to the documentation as well as the fact that you need these. I ran into this problem too when I was starting out. Overall, though, unless either a) you are deploying your app outside the firewall, or b) you need to access more than Content Server, you can bypass AppWorks and just use OT ReST API directly - AppWorks is just wrapping calls to those URLs anyway.
