Accessing the History Log File for a Shared Team Work Repository

Issue

• History logging has been enabled for a shared repository. How is this log file accessed in order to review the changes made by the various developers?

Resolution

1. Close ProVision.

2. In Windows Explorer, navigate to PVDATA --> ProVision version folder --> database. For example, C:\\PVDATA\\v611\\db0.

3. The file history.mdb is located in the database folder. This is the events log and can be opened with MS Access.

4. To change the events that are logged, or to turn off logging, select Repository --> Administration... from the ProVision menu bar. Then select the repository and make your changes on the Options tab.
