Product: Metastorm Integration Manager for CICS (MIM for CICS)
Version: 8.1.8 SR 5
Issue
The Metastorm Integration Manager for CICS Operations Guide Version 8.1.8 SR 5 refers to "OIT" in section 8.1, but this is not defined.
Is there more information on the Open Transaction Environment (OTE) with respect to MIM for CICS as discussed in section 8 of this guide?
Resolution
"OIT" is a typo. It should be "OTE."
The OTE provides an easy interface for users to exploit the CICS OTE L8 TCB feature. To exploit the OTE L8 TCB in their application code, users simply call Metastorm's XMOTSTUB within the code. Once the call is made, the application will run on an open TCB. Note that the application must still conform to the rules and restrictions put in place by IBM CICS regarding OTE L8 TCB processing. For additional information on OTE L8 TCBs, refer to the IBM CICS publications.
