Prevent folders from being imported into TeamSite

I've got a new requirement from business to disallow users to import folders into TeamSite. Has anyone out there done similar thing?

You can use the import functionality OTB and import folders.
Can you let us know more as what you wanted to Import?

To not allow import of folders but do allow files ?

Oops My mistake, i think he said do not allow. My bad i apologize. I do not have a specific answer for it except to remove the "Import" link and put a custom link, where it will kick of a CGI which will be used to import only files.
You can write a code to restrict importing folders in this CGI.
I am sure there is nothing out of the box.

Minor detail reading what someone writes. :-)

Lilley is correct in that the only way to accomplish it is to remove the import button and write your own widget to do it.

There have been a couple of posts on how to implement your own import utility, you may want to search for that.

There has been a feature request for this, but Interwoven has not implemented this feature.

You can look at custom import functionality using Content Services as well.
We have implemented custom import using ContentService recently, but different business requirement.
