Login Screen Displayed When Using Public Access

Issue

• When Public Access is configured, a login screen is unexpectedly displayed when a user tries to access a blank form using the blank form URL, e.g. http://localhost/Metastorm/eForm.aspx?Map=PublicAccessTest&Client=External&Action=First action.

  This behavior may be seen if the user first tries to login through the normal URL (e.g. http://localhost/Metastorm) but closes the login screen without logging in. In the same browser window, the user enters the Public Access URL (http://localhost/Metastorm/eForm.aspx?Map=PublicAccessTest&Client=External&Action=First action). The login screen is displayed instead of the blank form.

  The most likely scenario for this to occur is when the user has the Metastorm login page set as the home page in their browser and opening Internet Explorer immediately displays the login screen.

Resolution

• Access the blank form directly using the blank form URL. Do not first access the user login page and then close the login screen.
