Metastorm BPM Fails to Uninstall on Windows Vista

Issue

• When uninstalling Metastorm BPM on Windows Vista, the uninstall appears to complete successfully; however, the product is still installed.

Resolution

• Workaround 1

  Run the uninstall a second time, ignoring an error message about failing to unregister msscript.ocx.

  Workaround 2

  Run the uninstall with elevated privileges (i.e. as Administrator). This requires one of the following:

  1. launch the command prompt as Administrator and then execute the command MsiExec.exe /X\{DC029FAD-7F0E-429A-BB92-9D974F3A9E15\}
  2. disable UAC for the duration of the uninstall (requires restart).
