Issue
Once Save & Close (icon or menu item) has been used to save text entered into the Formula Editor, all changes made in the Formula Editor after that, anywhere in the procedure, are saved, even when the Close button is selected. The user is not prompted to save or discard changes when the Formula Editor is closed.
If all changes are saved by using the Close button and then saving changes when prompted (Save & Close is never used), this behavior is not seen.
Resolution
- This is a known issue. The workaround is to manually remove unwanted changes before closing the Formula Editor or to not use Save & Close.
