e-Work Fails after User Logs Off of e-Work Engine Server
The information in this article applies to product: e-Work all versions
Issue
A local administrator is logged on to the server running the e-Work engine. After that user logs off, logins to e-Work and other e-Work requests fail with the following error message:
Source: RequestBroker
Type: EManageTransactionException
Message: There are no available servers in the e-Work Server service.Logging back on and restarting the e-Work engine resolves the problem.
Resolution
- This behavior is most likely a result of setting the identity of the e-Work engine in COM+ to 'Interactive user'. This account should be changed to the same one that the e-Work engine service runs under.
- To do this, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Component Services > Computers > My Computer > COM+ Applications > Metastorm e-work Engine
Right-click, select 'Properties', and then select the 'Identity' tab. Select 'This user' and browse for the user that the engine service runs under. Click 'OK' and restart the Engine to apply the change.
