Access Violation When Opening Process Designer

Issue

• When trying to open the Process Designer, a user receives an error message similar to the following:

  Access violation at address 005CBD9A in module 'eDesigner.exe'. Read of address 0000022B.

Resolution

• NOTE: Modifying the registry incorrectly can result in loss of functionality on your workstation or server.

  1. Open the Windows registry and go to HKEY\_CURRENT\_USER\\Software\\Metastorm\\e-work\\Designer\\7.0.
  2. Delete the 7.0 key and all of its subkeys.
  3. Open the Designer.
