Issue
When a user attempts to access the Metastorm BPM login screen, the following message is displayed in the browser:
Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button on your web browser to retry your request.
If the user tries to register ASP.NET using aspnet\_regiis -i, the following error message is generated:
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.
Resolution
There can be a problem accessing the MBPM login screen if Windows XP SP3 is installed and Symantec Network Threat Protection is running (NOT Antivirus and Antispyware Protection or Proactive Threat Protection). To see if Network Threat Protection is running, go to Programs --> Symantec Endpoint Protection --> Symantec Endpoint Protection. If it is on, try turning if off. It may also be possible to edit the rule that is blocking traffic between the client and web server.
