Issue
The Metastorm Java 2 Activator fails to start.
The following pop-up error may be seen:
Unable to start, ensure that the Metastorm Java 2 Invocation service is running and restart.
Errors similar to the following may be written to the Windows application event log:
1. Unable to create JVM. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. 2.Faulting application dllhost.exe, version 5.2.3790.3959, faulting module Java2Invoker.dll, version 7.0.0.0, fault address 0x00028588. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. 3. The system has called a custom component and that component has failed and generated an exception. This indicates a problem with the custom component. Notify the developer of this component that a failure has occurred and provide them with the information below. Component Prog ID: Server Application ID: \{E6692AB9-62A2-4AD0-B694-126F313035D2\} Server Application Instance ID: \{F01A230C-9637-4297-8C9D-0AAD72878F31\} Server Application Name: Metastorm Process Orchestrator for Java The serious nature of this error has caused the process to terminate. Resolution
Start or restart the Metastorm Java 2 Invocation service.
Verify that the steps in the Process Orchestrator for Java Installation Guide have been followed.
Verify that the Metastorm Java 2 Activator has been properly configured according to section 4 of the Process Orchestrator for Java Designer's Guide. If changes are made, it may be necessary to restart the Metastorm Java 2 Invocation service and Process Engine.
