Latest Files Not Installed When SharePoint Web Parts Upgraded from Version 7.0 to 7.5

Issue

• Depending on how Metastorm BPM is upgraded from version 7.0 to 7.5, the following 2 files may not be upgraded to the proper versions:

  C:\\Program Files\\Metastorm BPM\\SharePoint Web Parts\\English\\MetastormWebParts.cab
  C:\\Program Files\\Metastorm BPM\\SharePoint Web Parts\\WPAdmin.exe

Resolution

• If Date Modified for each file is 4/5/2007, the correct file is installed. If this is not the case, use either of the following techniques to update the files.

  1. Copy the correct files from the Metastorm BPM Version 7.5 DVD. They can be found in :\\Metastorm BPM Core\\program files\\Metastorm BPM\\SharePoint Web Parts\\English and :\\Metastorm BPM Core\\program files\\Metastorm BPM\\SharePoint Web Parts.

  2. After the upgrade, go to Add or Remove Programs, select Metastorm BPM --> Change --> Modify --> deselect the SharePoint web parts, and continue in order to remove them. Then follow the same process, select the web parts, and continue. This will install the correct files.
