Standalone Windows XP Machine Requires Registry Change

Issue
- When installing the e-Work Engine on a standalone Windows XP Professional machine, the following message appears after entering the user name and password that the Engine service will run under:
"This computer's configuration does not allow the installation of the e-Work Engine as a service as the account cannot be validated. Click on "Back" and specify an account with appropriate permissions to continue."
Resolution
- As stated in the Installation Prerequisites document, the following registry value needs to be changed:
HKEY\_LOCAL\_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Lsa\\forceguest
Set the value of 'forceguest' to zero (0).
