Could Not Find Acrobat External Window Handler

Issue

• When trying to open a PDF external form, an alert window appears stating "Could Not Find Acrobat External Window Handler", and the form will not open.

Resolution

• This is an Adobe Acrobat issue. The most common causes are:

  A. Acrobat Reader is not installed on the client workstation.
  B. The Adobe event handler API (ewn32.api) is not installed or not in the expected folder.
