Error 'Failed to obtain list' When Windows Single Sign-On Is Configured

Issue

• When Windows Single Sign-on (SSO) is configured, trying to access Metastorm BPM with a browser generates the following error message:

  Error: Failed to obtain list.
  Message:< \[psp\_validate\_session\] > : Your Metastorm BPM session has expired. You must log out and log back in.
  Message:Failed to obtain list.

Resolution

• Add the following attribute and value within in the web.config file located by default at C:\\Program Files\\Metastorm BPM\\Web:

• Make sure the Metastorm virtual directory has been added to MetastormSSOAppPool as follows:

  1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. Go to Web Sites --> Default Web Site, right-click on Metastorm, and select Properties.
  3. On the Virtual Directory tab, select MetastormSSOAppPool in the Application pool list box and click OK.
