Metastorm BPM 6.6.4.6 Requires Running SQL Scripts for Oracle

Issue

• If Oracle is used as the database, the following error message is written to the Windows application event log after Metastorm BPM 6.6.4 hot fix 6 (6.6.4.6) is installed:

  Database problem while doing: Opening eWait table. m\_nRetCode: -1, m\_strError: 'ORA-00904: "ESEQUENCENO": invalid identifier ', m\_strStateNativeOrigin: 'State:S0022,Native:904,Origin:\[Oracle\]\[ODBC\]\[Ora\] '

Resolution

• Run the SQL scripts for Oracle in the following order.

  1. eWorkTypes.sql
  2. eWorkPackage.sql
  3. eWorkProcedures.sql

  Use the @ command to run the script. For example, @C:\\Temp\\eWorkTypes.sql

  The scripts are located here: :\\Program Files\\Metastorm e-Work\\Engine\\Database\\ORACLE scripts

• Note that the Release Notes for version 6.6.4.6 incorrectly state that the Oracle scripts do not need to be run.
