Issue
When installing or uninstalling Metastorm BPM (e-Work), soon after the Installer has begun, it stops and displays an error message similar to one of the following:
- Setup Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before Metastorm BPM could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at other time, please run setup again.
- Setup Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before Metastorm e-Work Version 6 could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.
- Setup failed to launch installation engine. (When trying to uninstall e-Work 5.4)
The following error may also be encountered:
COM+ Application Processing Failed!
Met\_SetupCOMRoleUsersforEngine(Metastorm e-work Engine)

Resolution
If Metastorm BPM is being installed on Windows Vista, make sure all of the prerequisites have been met. These can be found in the Installation Prerequisites guide.
Ensure that the user running the install or uninstall (the user logged in to the server) has access permission for Distributed COM security.
Go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Component Services --> Computers --> My Computer. Right-click and select Properties. Depending on the operating system, select Default (COM) Security or COM Security --> Access Permissions --> Edit Limits and Edit Default. Add the user to these groups.
