Setting a Default Value in a Drop-down List

Issue

• How can the default value for a drop-down field be set to a non-blank value?

Resolution

• Assign one of the list options to the variable assigned to the drop-down. Here's an example:

  1. The variable Dropdown1 is assigned to the drop-down field.
  2. The list options are green, blue, red.
  3. Red is to be pre-selected as the default value when the form is rendered.
  4. In the field 'When user loads form' or 'When action started', enter %Dropdown1:=red.
