Issue

• The following error is written to the Windows application event log:

  Database problem while doing: Update eWait set eEngineName=?, eThreadNo=? Where eFlagName=' ' AND eWaitTime <> \{ts '1753-01-01 00:01:00'\} AND eFolderID=? And eSequenceNo>=? And eSequenceNo<=? AND eWaitTime<=? AND ( (eEngineName=N' ' AND eThreadNo=0) OR (eEngineName=? AND eThreadNo=?) ). m\_nRetCode: -1, m\_strError: 'ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column', m\_strStateNativeOrigin: 'State:S1000,Native:1461,Origin:\[Oracle\]\[ODBC\]\[Ora\]

Resolution

• This error can be caused by the Oracle drivers. Make sure the Oracle OLEDB and ODBC drivers are supported as specified in the Supported Environments document.
