parsing error when I try to edit DCR through html

Hello All,

I have got thread regarding to this issue...But I don't understand how to set these three EAs .

TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryDCR,
TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryDocumentType, and TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryPT

which are required EAs to be set on the generated page.

I know how to set for DCR
i.e.- /opt/Interwoven/TeamSite/bin/iwextattr -s TeamSite/Templating/PrimaryPT=ca/ContentPage_Basic /default/main/FBU/CFIntranet/WORKAREA/CFIntranet_wa/html/ca/about/index.html

But how to give command with this three EA's? ...Thanks in advance.

You have EA's for generated page and for DCR? where r u now trying to set EA's?

The easy way is to run iwextattr -s 3 times.

you can also use XML mode which will take XML input and load multiple EAs at once. If you are doing this in a script (i.e. workflow where you run iwpt_compile), and you submit a bunch of DCRs at once then it may be worth it to use this mode.

I know you have. I saw it too. I've ignored it because in the case like that I like to work in memory and do not write any temp Files.
I erroneously considered your suggestion as "Write an XML and run once with -x" sort of things

Just did not think about ability to have it both ways through piping - mental block. At some point I certainly read that iwextattr takes STDIN input. If so, I forgot entirely

The thread in perl about this showed the similar example using the pipe. I brought it up for my generateHTML script, which was spending a bunch of time in iwextattr. There was a great deal of discussion of how to collect the errors, and I am not positive those were all ironed out. But it made a huge difference in the performance.
