Can't Create Proxy for ECL Web Service

Issue

• A proxy for the ECL Web Service cannot be created if service.asmx is used for web referencing. In Visual Studio, IntelliSense doesn't show the ECL web reference. If the proxy for ECL is added and compiled, errors are generated.

Resolution

• This is a known issue.

• The workaround is to use the service.wsdl file instead of service.asmx. Add http://server\_name/MetastormECLWebService/Service.wsdl as the web reference. Do an update on the web reference. Create the proxy class (the service name is ECLWebService).
