Publishing Affected by Stage Name in Map Segment Not Used by Map
The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 6.x
Issue
- If a map segment in a library contains a stage with the same name as a stage in a map where that map segment is NOT used (but the library is used in the procedure), the Designer reports an error and fails to publish.
For example, Procedure1 uses Library1. Library1 contains a map segment named MapSegment1 with a stage named TestStage1. Procedure1 contains 2 maps - Map1 and Map2. Map1 contains a stage named TestStage1 but does not use MapSegment1. Map2 uses MapSegment1.
Publishing the procedure fails with the following error:
Error - Map "Map1" - has a stage "TestStage1" with a duplicate name to a stage contained in Map MapSegment1. Error - Validation failed.
Resolution
- Don't use a duplicate stage name in a library. This will be fixed in a future version of e-Work.
