Issue
- Directory extractions are running very slowly.
Resolution
This may be caused by directory extraction logging. To see if logging is enabled, check the extraction.config file for text similar to the following:
The loglevel can be set to a value of 0 - 4, with 4 being full logging. Because logging affects performance, it should only be enabled if a problem with the extraction needs to be investigated. See the Directory Extraction Suite Guide for more information.
Note that comments tags, , cannot be used inside the element. To disable logging, it is best to make a backup of the extraction.config file, then remove all references to logging from the element.
Although the Directory Integration Suite Guide explains logging configuration at a command line, logging can be enabled for extractions run interactively with the DEX interface by adding the above XML to an existing extraction.config file.
