NDS Single Sign-on (NDSSSO) Requirements

Issue

• In order to implement NDS Single Sign-on in e-Work 6.x, what needs to be installed on the server and on the client?

Resolution

• There has been a change in requirements from e-Work version 5.x to version 6.x. This was necessitated by the discontinuation of the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

  For version 6.x, the requirements are:

  Server: NDSSSO.js authentication script

  Client: Novell Classes for Java and JNDI Providers (NJCL), Second Release
  Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE), Standard Edition 1.4.0 (available on the e-Work CD)
  Sun Java Plug-in 1.4.0
  Novell NetWare Client (see the Supported Environments document for version information)

  NOTE: The client requires the Sun JVM and not the Microsoft JVM. In the browser, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced and verify that the correct JVM is enabled.
