Issue
A file attached to a single attachment clip fails to open if the file name contains an ampersand (&). It generates an error similar to the following:
Failed to read attachment.
< \[esp\_get\_attachment\] > : Unable to locate attachment: A&B~1.pdf , owner: 0000000000000000000000000000207 , type: 0 .
Failed to read attachment.
A message similar to the following is written to the Windows application event log:
Event Type: Warning Event Source: Metastorm Process Engine Event Category: eException Event ID: 131 Date: 2/25/2009 Time: 8:19:12 AM User: N/A Computer: SERVERZZ1 Description: Unable to access attachment: A&B~1.pdf , owned by: 0000000000000000000000000000207 , type: 0 .
Resolution
- This has been fixed in 7.6 SR2 (7.6.2).
- A workaround is to use a multiple attachments clip instead of a single attachment clip.
