Purge Alerts Function in Services Manager
The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 6.x
Issue
- The e-Work Administration Guide incorrectly states:
When Metastorm e-Work Database is selected in the tree or the details pane, clicking the Purge Alerts button removes obsolete alerts from the e-Work database. An alert is obsolete if it is:
- a deletion alert
- an uncommitted folder older than one day.
Deletion alerts are used only by Windows based clients and are therefore not used by users accessing e-Work through a web browser.
Resolution
This should read:
When Metastorm e-Work Database is selected in the tree or the details pane, clicking the Purge Alerts button removes obsolete alerts from the e-Work database. An alert is obsolete if it is:
- a deletion alert older than one day
- an uncommitted folder.
Deletion alerts are used only by Windows based clients and are therefore not used by users accessing e-Work through a web browser.NOTE: An uncommitted folder creates an orphan alert. Clicking 'Purge Alerts' will remove any alert in the eAlert table for which there is no corresponding folder in the eFolder table.
