e-Work and the Java Virtual Machine
The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 5.x 6.x
Issue
- Do I need the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine to use e-Work with a web browser?
Resolution
- The Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM) is a prerequisite to run Version 5 of e-Work through a browser. If the MSJVM is not installed on the client machine, an e-Work Version 5 user would not be able to access e-Work.
- Version 6 of e-Work does not require the MSJVM.
However, NDS Single Sign-On (NDSSSO) does require the Sun JVM, which is included in the Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
