Issue
When trying to start the Metastorm Process Engine, the user is presented with the following message:
The Metastorm Process Engine service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service.
The following error message is written to the Windows application event log:
Unable to determine procedure version in JScript .net startup. Reason: -2147352571 : Unknown
Resolution
- This is a known issue.
On the Engine server, change the following registry value to 0 (zero):
HKEY\_LOCAL\_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Metastorm\\e-work\\Engine\\JScriptPrecompileLevel
