Issue
- After migration to version 7.x, a version 6.x procedure is opened in the Designer and one of the forms is blank - all of the fields are missing.
Resolution
This will happen if a form name in version 6.x contains a space at the end of the name. It is a known issue.
One of the following can be used as a workaround:
Open the procedure in a version 6.6.4 Designer, remove the space from the end of any form name, and save the procedure as an XEP file. Now it will open properly by a 7.x Designer.
If a 6.6.4 Designer is not available, open the procedure, e.g. MyProcedure.xep, using a tool such as WinZip. Extract all of the files to a folder. Remove the space from the end of all file names with the extension .xef (the forms). For example, My Form .xef would be changed to My Form.xef. Rezip the files and name the file MyProcedure.xep. Now it will open properly by a 7.x Designer.
