Java Request Broker Does Not UTF-8 Decode TP Request

Issue

• If the Java Request Broker is configured to use the HTTP protocol, the Transaction Protocol (TP) request is UTF-8 encoded, by default, before it's sent to the Engine. However, the response is not UTF-8 decoded.

Resolution

• This is a known issue. There are 2 workarounds:

  1. Call the static method com.metastorm.ework.utils.SimpleUrlEncoder.setEncodingFormat() to set the Java machine encoding format.
  2. Call the static method com.metastorm.ework.utils.SimpleUrlEncoder.decode() to decode the field output values.
