Issue
- When %LDAPSearch is used against a directory server, no results are returned.
Resolution
When used against Microsoft Active Directory, the Metastorm LDAP connector uses a paging control that requests results in blocks of 100. The way it requests paging is specified in the LDAP standard, but the server must be configured to support paging or it will ignore the request. If the result set is greater than the limit specified on the server, then it is up to the server whether to truncate the results, return nothing, or return an error code.
Note that this only applies when the Metastorm LDAP connector is used against Active Directory. It does not apply to other directory servers (e.g. Sun Java System Directory Server Version 5.2). When other directory servers are used, there's no limit imposed by the Metastorm LDAP connector itself, but the server may have a limit specified.
