Issue

• The following message is written to the Windows event log:

  The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details.

Resolution

• The computer displaying the event log does not have access to the necessary files. See this Microsoft article for more information: Detailed Usage of the Event Viewer /AUXSOURCE Switch Option
