Issue
- When trying to install 7.6 SR2 on Windows Server 2008 64-bit, the user gets a pop-up error message that includes the text .NET assembly cache utility has stopped, and the install fails.
Resolution
- Make sure gacutil.exe is installed on the server. This is installed as part of the .NET Framework SDK.
