Use of e-Work on Virtual Machines
The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 6.x
Issue
- Can e-Work be used on a virtual machine (VM)?
Resolution
Metastorm fully tests, validates, and supports e-Work against the Windows operating systems specified in the e-Work Supported Environments guide.
Although a number of organizations run e-Work in a virtual machine environment for development and testing purposes, Metastorm does not test e-Work running in a virtual machine environment.
If it is found that e-Work’s functionality varies from running on a virtual machine to running on a supported native operating system, then Metastorm would look to the vendor of the virtual machine software to rectify the issue making the virtual machine environment behave the same as the native operating system.
