The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 6.x
Issue
- Adding a library in the XEL file format, not the ELB format, to a procedure (i.e. after clicking the 'OK' button after a library is added) takes several minutes and CPU usage for eDesigner.exe stays at 95 - 99%.
Resolution
- This is a known performance issue for .xel files.
- In one case, a library contained 51 client-side scripts with each script containing 1 function. As a workaround, moving all of the functions to 1 script and deleting the other 50 scripts reduced the time from 3.5 to 1.25 minutes.
