Key Violation in Designer When Clicking on Action in Map

Issue

• When a map is displayed in the Designer, clicking on an action displays a Key violation error message.

Resolution

• This is a known issue caused by the same name(s) being used for controls on form segments that are added to a form. The action that generates the error references the form with duplicate names.

• Here is a workaround:

  1. Remove the reference to the form from the action.
  2. Change the form segment references on the form to (none). Note which is linked to which.
  3. Rename the controls on the form segments so that no duplicate names are used on the main form.
  4. Save and re-open the procedure.
  5. Reassign the form segments to the main form
