Effect of Tab Order on Field Evaluation

Issue

• The impact of the tab order of the fields on a form, when field calculations are performed in 'When changed' events, is unclear.

Resolution

• When a field with dependents changes, the tab order is not significant – the 'When changed' expression for the field that has changed is evaluated, and then all fields with dependents are updated.
• When a form is submitted, the 'When changed' expressions for all fields are evaluated in tab order. Expressions later in the tab order (as they are evaluated later) take precedence.
