Browser Window Fails to Close When Using Auto Refresh with External URL

Issue

• An action in a procedure has no form associated with it, and Confirm action is not checked. Using an external URL, a user accesses a folder that has this action available. For example,

  http://MyWebServer/MetastormSSO/eexternalform.asp?service=Metastorm BPM Server&redirect=http://MyWebServer/Metastorm/eFolder.aspx?FolderID=0000000000000000000000000009624&Client=External
  or
  http://MyWebServer/Metastorm/eFolder.aspx?FolderID=0000000000000000000000000009624&Client=External

  If the user takes this action, a window says processing and does not close, although the action is completed as expected.

  If the browser is configured to show script errors, the following error should be seen:

  Error: 'parent.opener.window.opener.location' is null or not an object

Resolution

• The workaround is to disable auto-refresh. Open the file web.config in a text editor. The default location for this file is C:\\Program Files\\Metastorm BPM\\Web.
