EworkPerfmon Errors in Application Event Log

The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 5.x 6.x

Issue

  • One of the following error messages is recorded in the Application Event Log:

    The Open Procedure for service "EworkPerfmon" in DLL "C:\\Program Files\\Metastorm e-work\\Engine\\eworkPerfmon.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is data DWORD 0.
    OR
    The Open Procedure for service "EworkPerfmon" in DLL "C:\\Program Files\\Metastorm e-Work\\Engine\\eworkPerfmon.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The Status code returned is the first DWORD in the attached data.

Resolution

  1. Verify that the e-Work Engine is started before attempting to add e-Work counters to the Performance monitor.
  2. Verify that the e-Work Engine is started if the Performance monitor is already running with any e-Work counters being monitored.
  3. For version 5.x only:
  4. Run 'Add/Remove Programs' on the e-Work server.
  5. Select Metastorm e-Work and click the 'Change/Remove' or 'Change' button.
  6. Select 'Modify' and click 'Next'.
  7. Verify that 'e-work Performance Monitor' is selected under 'Metastorm e-work Utilities.'
  8. If is isn't, select it and continue with the remainder of the 'Modify' install.
  9. If it is selected already, click the 'Back' button, select 'Repair' and continue with the remainder of the 'Repair' install.
