Issue
- The Process Monitor relies on JBoss as an application server. In order for the Process Monitor to communicate with nodes, some ports need to be opened in the firewall.
Resolution
The Process Monitor requires a single port to be opened through the firewall to the Enterprise Server -port 10010 HTTP listener port for the GUI.
Depending on your organization's policies, the following three ports for each node may need to be opened if you plan to manage with the Process Monitor.
- 10012 - JBoss JNDI (inbound)
- 10013 - JBoss RMI (inbound)
- 10014 - JBoss Invoker RMI (inbound)
Note: If the following default ports were changed using xmportconfig.xms, translate the port numbers accordingly: 10010, 10011, 10012, 10013, 10014, 10015.
The other ports listed in the product documentation are used internally (locally) by the Process Monitor and do not have to be defined in the firewall/router.
