Issue
When a user tries to access Metastorm BPM or a default web page on Windows Server 2003, a message similar to one of the following is displayed:
Service Unavailable
Cannot load the service list from : http://MyServer/escripts/EngineServiceConfig.xml The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable.
Resolution
- Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Verify that DefaultAppPool or the Metastorm AppPools are started. The AppPool(s) available will depend on the version of Metastorm BPM that is installed.
- Select Web Service Extensions. Verify that the status of Active Server Pages and ASP.NET is set to Allowed.
