Designer Toolbar Disappears

The information in this article applies to product: e-Work all versions

Issue

  • One of the toolbars is not visible in the Designer.

Resolution

  • NOTE: Modifying the registry incorrectly can result in loss of functionality on your workstation or server.

  • Check the following 4 registry keys:
    HKEY\_CURRENT\_USER\\Software\\Metastorm\\e-work\\Designer\\Bars\\\\Bar<0-3>
    Verify that the value of the DWORD 'Visible' is set to '1'.

  • If this does not work, try the following:

    1. Close the Designer if it is open.
    2. Go to HKEY\_CURRENT\_USER\\Software\\Metastorm\\e-work\\Designer\\Bars
    3. Export the registry key above to have as backup.
    4. Delete all of the items under this registry key (this should only require the deletion of one key).
    5. Reopen the Designer. Verify that the subkeys have been restored.
