Error CLS0000014 When Installing Insight Reports Designer

Issue

• After entering the license files directory path during an Insight Reports Designer installation, a user receives the following error message:

  error.CLS0000014

Resolution

• This error indicates that a problem was encountered while connecting to the license source. Verify the following:

  1. The License Server is running.
  2. You are able to connect to the License Server from the machine on which you are running the install.
  3. You are installing on a supported operating system. The issue listed above was caused by attempting to install the Insight Reports Designer on Windows Vista. The Metastorm Insight Supported Environments document states that only Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003 are supported.
